Hello Canada!

This is the beginning of my own personal Canada 150 Quest.

I am a public school principal in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA!

Every day I get to work with Canada's future - our kids.  I know there are many excellent educators and school staff members across our country who will agree with me that we have one of the BEST JOBS ever.

Did you know that across our country we start our day in a more patriotic way than most Canadians.  In schools across the country we begin our day by standing for our CANADIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM.

In a single calendar year kids and adults across the country will hear the Canadian National Anthem over 200 times!  This exercise can be a very exciting morning start ...which could be even more exciting with new artists and arrangements of our National Anthem.

My goal is to encourage musicians of all genres to post an arrangement of our National Anthem to YouTube and link it to this blog so that we can share it among the thousands of schools in our country.

This project is not for money.  It's not for personal fame.  It's just because we are proud to be Canadians.

As of February 1st there are 150 days until July 1st - Canada's 150th Birthday.  Wouldn't it be cool to see 150 versions of O Canada?
